In El Salvador, Genius Checkout currently supports BAC Credomatic through our Powertranz integration. BAC must approve your eCommerce merchant account and issue Powertranz or First Atlantic Commerce (FAC) credentials before you can connect it to Genius Checkout.
Professional services, online retail, education, agencies, memberships, and diaspora-facing businesses can then collect through the sales tools they already use.

Make gateway identity the first onboarding question
Ask BAC to name the processor and mode before development begins. Obtain separate test and live credentials, enabled currencies, settlement details, 3-D Secure, refunds, capture, void, tokenization, and recurring rights.
An HPP profile needs PageSet and PageName. A Direct profile that allows a one-time purchase may still lack tokenization. Native BAC credentials should not be entered into Powertranz fields unless the bank states that they are compatible.
Use USD without reusing order IDs
El Salvador's USD environment simplifies the currency label but not gateway identity. Every payment attempt still needs a unique gateway order ID. A failed invoice payment, a retry, and the next subscription renewal are separate transactions.
Keep the customer, invoice, or subscription reference attached as metadata so staff can see the relationship without changing past payment records.

Genius Checkout centralizes the compatible gateway configuration and payment timeline. The original system remains responsible for its order, subscription, or customer workflow.
Match the charge to the agreement with the customer
A retailer can usually use Authorize & Capture when stock is ready and the order should be paid immediately. An agency should send the payment request only after the client approves the scope and invoice. For a membership, state the amount and billing interval before saving a payment method, then keep that consent with the customer record.
If the amount may change after checkout, ask BAC whether Authorize Only and later capture are enabled. Capture or void the authorization within the time limit BAC provides; do not leave an open authorization while creating unrelated charges against the same order.
Test renewals if the business promises them
A recurring plan needs a customer-approved provider token, merchant-initiated transaction permission, and a plan that allows subscriptions. Test the initial payment, first renewal, decline, retry, and new-card recovery. Do not wait for the first real billing date to discover that only one-time payments were enabled.
For one-time sales, test approval, decline, 3-D Secure, cancellation, Back, duplicate callback, retry, and refund.

The customer can retry the order, but the system should create a new financial transaction and preserve the failed one.
