In Honduras, Genius Checkout currently supports BAC Credomatic through our Powertranz integration. BAC must approve your eCommerce merchant account and issue Powertranz or First Atlantic Commerce (FAC) credentials before you can connect it to Genius Checkout.
Once BAC issues the Powertranz credentials, merchants can accept payments for lodging, tours, retail, exports, services, and invoices through their preferred business software.

Confirm compatibility before development
Ask BAC to identify the gateway processor, Direct or HPP mode, Merchant ID, test and live passwords, currencies, and settlement. For HPP, request PageSet and PageName. Confirm 3-D Secure, refunds, voids, captures, tokenization, and recurring rights.
Do not test a native BAC credential in the Powertranz fields. A failed authentication will not establish compatibility, and repeated attempts can complicate support.
Plan around the customer's purchase
A lodge on the Bay Islands may take an advance deposit. A tour business may confirm a date before charging. An exporter may need a full product and delivery record. A consultant may send an invoice. Select the integration accordingly:
- WooCommerce or Ecwid for products and bookable offers.
- HighLevel for services, appointments, and sales automation.
- Payment links and QR codes for confirmed reservations or invoices.
- A custom API integration for an existing Honduran platform.
The payment should return to the source order and update it only after server-side verification.
State HNL or USD clearly
Honduras uses HNL, while tourism and export quotes may use USD. Confirm every transaction and settlement currency with BAC. Display the ISO code beside the amount. Test each enabled currency as its own launch case.
Direct, HPP, and mobile behavior
Use Direct for the integrated Genius Checkout card flow and approved tokenization. Use HPP when the account is configured for card entry on the provider-hosted page. Test HPP outside an iframe and make sure the buyer can cancel without a redirect loop.
Mobile users may switch networks during checkout. Simulate an interrupted return and confirm the verified transaction still updates the order.
Test failures and recovery
Run an approval, decline, 3-D Secure flow, cancellation, retry, duplicate callback, and refund. A retry creates a new transaction and gateway order ID, while the failed attempt remains in the timeline. For a deposit and balance, use split or partial capture against one authorization when BAC has enabled it. Otherwise, charge the deposit first and create a new payment for the balance.

No. Confirm that the specific merchant product is provisioned on Powertranz/FAC.
Can a merchant accept a booking deposit through WhatsApp?
Yes, by sharing a secure payment link. Card details should never be collected in the chat.
Can the same gateway process a later balance?
Yes through a new secure payment or an approved tokenized transaction. Do not reuse the deposit's payment ID.
