In Sint Maarten, Genius Checkout currently supports Republic Bank, RBC Royal Bank, and CIBC Caribbean through our Powertranz integration. Your bank must approve your eCommerce merchant account and issue Powertranz or First Atlantic Commerce (FAC) credentials before you can connect it to Genius Checkout.
Hotels, excursions, rentals, restaurants, retailers, and professional services should compare the three routes using current currency and gateway information, not an older onboarding document.

RBC Royal Bank supports FAC for Caribbean eCommerce accounts, and CIBC Caribbean offers eCommerce merchant services. Republic Bank also supports Powertranz accounts in Sint Maarten. Ask the chosen bank to confirm the exact checkout mode, currencies, and features enabled for your account.
Treat the currency transition as a migration task
Do not only change ANG to XCG in a dropdown. Review product prices, tax rules, accounting exports, receipts, refunds, gateway currencies, and any stored subscription amounts. Ask the chosen institution what the current merchant profile expects and how older records will appear.
Visitor businesses may also discuss USD pricing. The checkout should state the transaction currency in full and the receipt should repeat it.
Use a payment route suited to the sale
A fixed excursion can be sold in WooCommerce or Ecwid. A concierge or rental enquiry can move through HighLevel and receive a payment request after confirmation. A restaurant, transport provider, or event can use payment links and QR codes. An established property-management system can connect through the API.
The chosen channel sends the order into Genius Checkout; Genius Checkout uses the approved Powertranz profile; the institution settles under the merchant agreement.
Direct and HPP need different testing
For Direct, confirm the card flow, 3-D Secure, tokenization where approved, and that no sensitive card data enters merchant logs. For HPP, confirm PageSet, PageName, top-level browser launch, cancellation, browser Back, and return to the correct order.
For both modes, test duplicate callbacks and interrupted returns. A gateway approval should be recoverable even if the buyer closes the final page.
Preserve each payment attempt
A declined payment and its retry are separate transactions, each with a unique gateway order ID. A balance collected as a new charge also needs a new ID; a balance captured from the original authorization stays with that authorization. Keep the source booking or invoice reference on every record so staff can follow the complete history.
